Responsibilities of a board member include:

  1. An MCLA Board member must be a member of the organization.
  2. Advocacy on issues within the purview of a curriculum leader.
  3. Participation in MCLA interests and activities such as state wide committees and the two annual conferences sponsored by MCLA.
  4. Meeting participation: There are six meeting annually, one after each conference and at least four other meetings. These meetings may be attended via telephone conferencing when available.
  5. Representation of a region and being a conduit of information between the Board and the organization’s membership and school systems.
