Board of Directors
Responsibilities of a board member include:
- An MCLA Board member must be a member of the organization
- Advocacy on issues within the purview of a curriculum leader.
- Participation in MCLA interests and activities such as state wide committees and the two annual conferences sponsored by MCLA.
- Meeting participation: There are six meeting annually, one after each conference and at least four other meetings. These meetings may be attended via telephone conferencing when available.
- Representation of a region and being a conduit of information between the Board and the organization’s membership and school systems.
- Maintenance of an MCLA binder to be passed on to subsequent Board members.
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved statewide for the best possible education in Maine.
